Running for Remembrance: Supporting PTSD999 at the 2025 Windmill 10K

As Remembrance Day approaches, I am honoured to be taking part in the 2025 Lytham Windmill 10K, running in support of PTSD999 — a charity whose mission resonates deeply with the sacrifices we pause to reflect upon at this time of year.

Remembrance is about more than ceremonies or silence; it is about acknowledging the lives given, the families affected, and the ongoing battles faced by those who serve. That’s why supporting PTSD999 feels especially meaningful. Their work ensures that our emergency services personnel — past and present — are not forgotten once the uniform comes off and the crowds disperse.

Standing With Those Who Serve

I’ve had the privilege of meeting the PTSD999 team, and their dedication is nothing short of remarkable. They provide vital support to those dealing with trauma, stress injuries, and the unseen weight that comes with a life spent protecting others. Their compassion, humility, and unwavering commitment make them a powerful force for good.

Running the Windmill 10K for them is a small gesture compared to the sacrifices made by the people they help — but it is one I am proud to make.

A Run with Meaning

The Windmill 10K isn’t just a race; it’s a moment to reflect. As we move past the fields, coastline, and Lytham landmarks, we carry with us the names, stories, and memories of those who served and those still serving.

Every mile is a reminder.
Every step is a thank you.
Every breath is a moment of reflection.

Looking Ahead with Purpose

I’m truly honoured to support PTSD999 through this event, and I hope to help raise awareness and funding so they can continue the incredible work that so many depend on.

To the team at PTSD999 — thank you for everything you do. To those we remember — we will never forget. And to those still fighting their unseen battles — we stand beside you.

Running with purpose. Running for remembrance. Running for PTSD999. 🫡
